Khan, who is 54 years old, was rushed to the hospital after the attack. Doctors treating him said he is on the road to full recovery. Dr. Nitin Dange, one of the surgeons, explained that Khan’s injury was caused by a knife that was lodged in his spine. The doctors performed surgery to remove the knife and repair a leaking spinal fluid. Despite the severity of the injury, the doctors assured the public that Khan’s condition is stable and improving.

The attack happened just after midnight when Khan attempted to stop a burglar from entering his Bandra apartment, located in a posh neighborhood of Mumbai. During the incident, a female employee at the apartment was also attacked and is being treated at the hospital. Authorities have identified the attacker and launched a search for him. According to police, the intruder tried to enter through a fire escape, suggesting the attack was part of a robbery attempt.

Following the attack, Khan’s family, including his wife Kareena Kapoor, released statements to reassure fans. They confirmed that Saif Ali Khan had an injury on his arm and was undergoing treatment, but the rest of the family was unharmed. They requested that the media and fans respect their privacy and refrain from speculation while the police continue their investigation.

Doctors at Lilavati Hospital, where Khan is receiving treatment, reported that the actor sustained six stab wounds. Two of the wounds were deep, but they did not cause major damage to his vital organs or spine. One of the wounds required 10 stitches, but it did not affect his spinal cord. The attack occurred as Khan was trying to prevent a robbery at his home.

The incident has raised concerns among both celebrities and political figures about safety in Mumbai. Several people, including film stars and opposition leaders, have called for better security measures, particularly in areas like Bandra, which is home to many celebrities. They argued that if someone as high-profile as Saif Ali Khan can be attacked in his own home, it raises serious questions about the safety of ordinary citizens.
